Regarding Shelley Nance story #55: I did not like how you both trivialize what happened to Shelley! Trying to be ”funny cool” in the telling. She was truly too sweet and worldly naive for this Dallas environment. SHE did not deserve this!!

Texas does not allow for the death penalty for just killing someone. You have to commit a felony along with it, like raping her or stealing her stuff. Just killing her was not a felony. That’s the best sentence we could get. I’ll be there if he has a parole hearing to try and keep h8m in jail.

I think the laughing is inappropriate since it’s about my daughters death. It’s not too crazy to think that someone could be a virgin and innocent at 20 but Shelley was one of a kind and taken away too soon.
